Time Lapse On Canon Sd780 Is

Cigarettes and Fire Scam

Dear readers, I have a little left out this blog without warning in recent months. My time is taken up by my work and my educational retraining current (I leave the world of research and teaching to go into the private sector). I'll try to find some free time to write regularly, even if it notes a bit shorter.

the way, if of you know some companies who seek a statistician, feel free to contact me .

Often, we tend to absorb the negative effects of cigarettes on health. We forget while cigarettes are also the source of a significant number of fires and in particular that the fires caused by cigarettes are statistically the most deadly (think people who fall asleep with a lit cigarette!).

A comprehensive study reveals that an increase in sales of cigarettes causes an increase in the average number of fires in the United States. In particular, tobacco taxes are effective against this type of accident.

That said, he found that smoking bans in homes, bars, restaurants or workplaces, although they tend to reduce the number of cigarettes smoked have an opposite effect: they increase the likelihood of a fire.

This phenomenon is quite mysterious. One possible explanation is that individuals who go beyond the smoking ban or smoking just outside a place where it is forbidden tend to be less careful when they throw their cigarettes. The researchers who conducted the study tell the story of a corporate director who, after smoking a cigarette on the sly, threw his cigarette butt into a vent pipe, causing a fire.
